Vinci
Leave the campground to the left and follow the signs for Vitolini-Vinci.
Driving time: 10/15 min.
It is possible to visit the Museo Vinciniano in the castle in Vinci. The house in Anchiano where Leonardo, the powerful Florentine genius, was born at the end of the 1400's is a short distance away. His activity extended to all fields, painter, writer, architect, engineer and storyteller. "Man destroys everything he creates" he wrote in a book of prophecies and this saying has never been as true as now.

Empoli
Leave the campground to the right and follow the signs for Limite sull'Arno - Empoli.
Driving time: 10/15 minutes.
The historic convention of the Ghibellines was held in Empoli in 1260 which permitted Farinata degli Uberti to free Florence. Sights in the city include the Collegiata, dating from the eleventh century, the museum which houses important paintings and sculptures and the church of Santo Stefano degli Agostiniani.

Montelupo Fiorentino
Leave the campground to the right and follow the signs for Limite sull'Arno - Montelupo Fiorentino.
Driving time: 15 minutes.
A pretty town on the banks of the Arno where it is possible to admire the lovely Church of San Giovanni and the luxurious Villa Ambrogiana. Montelupo Fiorentino is also famous for its fine ceramics.

Poggio a Caiano
Leave the campground to the left and follow the signs for Carmignano - Poggio a Caiano.
Driving time: 15/20 minutes.
This small town is located at the foot of Montalbano, on the road that leads to Pistoia. Don't miss the Villa Medicea, owned Lorenzo il Magnifico and surrounded by an enormous park.

San Miniato
Limite sull'Arno - Empoli (highway entrance for Pisa).
Driving time: 20/25 minutes.
Located in the province of Pisa, it overlooks the plains of the Arno. San Miniato was founded in the eighth century and acquired importance in the Middle Ages as the seat of Lombard Imperial Vicariate, and is therefore called San Miniato al Tedesco ("of the German"). The Vicars lived in a fortification which housed many emperors including Frederick Barbarossa. Don't miss Palazzo Vicari, the church of San Domenico, the Duomo and the marble tomb by Giovanni Ghellin.

Florence
Limite sull'Arno - Montelupo Fiorentino (highway entrance for FI-PI-LI).
Driving time: 25/30 minutes.
Cradle of the Renaissance, an open air museum: Florence is described by many different names in Italy and the world. We will be happy to recommend various tours of its arts and monuments to help you discover all the beauty of this city.

Pisa
Limite sull'Arno - Empoli (highway entrance for FI-PI-LI).
Driving time: 40/45 minutes.
Glorious due to its history, art and traditions, Pisa lies in the plains, around the banks of the river Arno. The most important works are found in Piazza dei Miracoli, where it is possible to admire the famous Leaning Tower and the Duomo.

Lucca
Limite sull'Arno - Fucecchio - Altopascio (freeway entrance).
Driving time: 60 minutes.
Entirely protected by age-old walls, Lucca contains splendid sights, including the Duomo and interesting museums like the Pinacoteca Nazionale.

Siena
Limite sull'Arno - Montelupo Fiorentino - Ginestra - Cerbaia - San Casciano (highway entrance).
Driving time: 60/70 minutes.
It is the second most important city in Tuscany after Florence. Siena is surrounded by the gentle hills of the Chianti region, where olive trees and grapes are grown. The historical center is a masterpiece of medieval art. Don't miss Piazza del Campo, where the famous Palio is held every year, the Duomo with its splendid gothic architecture and the Museo dell'Opera. We recommend visiting San Gimignano, the "city of the towers", Montepulciano, Montalcino and Certaldo, birthplace of Boccaccio, in the surrounding area.

Limite - sull'Arno - Empoli - Castelfiorentino - Gambassi Terme - Vicariello - Volterra.
Driving time: 70/80 minutes.
Famous for its Etruscan and medieval walls, Volterra is a very pleasant interesting city. Don't miss the Palazzo dei Priori, the 1200 Duomo, the Casa Torre Buonparenti and the Museo Etrusco.
